Castlevania: Belmont's Curse releases on October 14, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam. That is the date on the Steam listing, and it is the reading this site uses on every page.

The release date, and where it comes from

Konami announced the date in June 2026 alongside the purchase bonus, then repeated it in July when the Switch version was dated. The Steam store page now carries 14 Oct, 2026, and the demo that went live in late September has been building wishlists toward that day ever since.

The demo is already out, so the only date left is the launch itself. Everything the demo contains, and the rules for carrying your progress into the full game, is on the demo page.

Why some official pages say October 15

Konami's own product and news pages display 15-Oct-26 for the release date. That is not a contradiction: it is the same launch moment written from a different timezone, and the two readings have sat side by side in Konami's own materials since the June announcement.

Steam shows October 14, 2026 on the store page. Konami's product and news pages show 15-Oct-26. * The June and July announcements describe the day of the week as Thursday, which fits both readings in the markets Konami was writing for.

We use October 14, 2026 across the site for one practical reason: it is the date a storefront will act on when it hands you a download. If you are planning time off around launch, treat October 14 as the day to watch rather than a comfortable buffer.

⚠️ Not a delay. Nothing here suggests the game moved. Both readings have been present the whole time, and neither Konami nor Steam has published a correction.

Is there an unlock time?

No unlock time has been announced. Konami has published a date, not a clock time, and no storefront listing shows an hour. That is why the countdown on the home page runs to 00:00 UTC on October 14 and says so underneath rather than pretending to know the moment the servers open.

If you want to be ready on the day, the useful preparation is not the hour but the install: the download sizes are published, and the PC requirements page tells you whether your machine will run it at all.

The demo is the shortest way to wait

The free demo went live on September 30, 2026 and covers the opening chapter, which runs somewhere between thirty and forty-five minutes depending on how much you explore. Progress carries into the full game if you keep the save. The conditions for that transfer are stricter than most people assume, and they are written out in full on the demo page.

FAQ

When exactly does Belmont's Curse come out?

October 14, 2026, on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam. Konami's regional pages display 15-Oct-26 for the same launch.

What time does it unlock?

Not announced. Konami has published a date without a clock time, and no store listing shows an hour, so any specific unlock time you read elsewhere is a guess.

Could the date still slip?

Nothing official suggests it. The date has been repeated in Konami's June and July announcements, it appears on every storefront, and a playable demo is already out. If it does move, this page and the countdown on the home page move with it.

Does the Switch version release on the same day as the others?

Yes. The first trailer implied the Switch version might arrive slightly later, but Konami later confirmed a single date for all platforms, and the Switch eShop listing matches the others.
