Who we are
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Wiki is an independent, fan-made wiki covering Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, the 2D action entry developed by Evil Empire with Motion Twin as consultant and published by Konami Digital Entertainment. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Konami, Evil Empire or Motion Twin.
What we do
We collect information from official sources (the Konami product site, official store listings on Steam, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Nintendo eShop, and official trailers), from hands-on previews, and from community reports, then rewrite and organize it into plain-English pages. Every page carries a fact-check date, a status badge and a sources list.
Corrections
Spotted something wrong? Tracking pages, meaning the release date and unlock timing, platforms, price and editions, the demo, PC requirements and anything post-launch, are re-checked regularly. Known backfill points (the exact unlock time, the full weapon category list and the full Arcana list) are filled in the day Konami publishes them. Corrections are applied with a new fact-check date.
Three labels, used literally
Every fact on this site carries one of three labels. This is not decoration. It is the whole editorial method.
- Official sources: published by Konami on its own channels (the product site, official store listings, official trailers) or by the development team. Safe to rely on.
- Partially confirmed: confirmed in part, or reported by a credible third party such as IGN but not on a first-party page. We name the source and flag the gap.
- Pending confirmation: Konami has not announced it. We say so plainly and explain what would change the answer.
What we refuse to do
- We do not invent numbers, weapon names, Arcana effects, unlock times or boss order. If no source exists, the page says the information does not exist yet.
- We do not pass off store listings, community reports or third-party previews as official statements. Where sources conflict, the page says so and names both.
- We do not invent a Switch 2 version, a PS4 or Xbox One version, a Mac version, a co-op mode or a release countdown to an hour that was never announced. Each of those has a page that states the honest answer instead, and each gets updated the day Konami changes it.
How to read a caveat box
Pages where a claim is genuinely uncertain carry a Read this first box immediately below the summary. That box is the fastest way to know which parts of the page are solid and which are waiting on Konami.
Data we collect
This is a static website. We do not run accounts, comment systems, newsletters or forms. No personal information is collected by the site itself.
Cookies & analytics
We use Baidu Analytics and Google Analytics for aggregate traffic counts. Google Analytics may set its own cookies (such as _ga) to measure usage; neither service identifies individual visitors to us. Third-party embeds may set their own cookies, as described below.
Third-party content
Pages embed or link to third-party services, notably YouTube video embeds and store pages. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply when you interact with them. Video embeds load from youtube-nocookie.com and only after you click.
