Castlevania: Belmont's Curse PC Requirements

The PC version of Belmont's Curse is Windows only and asks for Windows 11, an Intel Core i5-8400 and a GTX 1650 at minimum, with an i5-10400 and an RTX 3060 recommended. Both tiers require 16 GB of RAM and 10 GB of storage, an unusually flat pair of rows that is worth reading before you upgrade anything.

The PC version of Belmont's Curse is Windows only, requires Windows 11, and asks for 16 GB of RAM on both the minimum and recommended tiers. The recommended settings are a straightforward step up from the minimum on processor and graphics card, and not a step up at all on memory.

Two things stand out. The first is that both rows say 16 GB of RAM, which is not a typo and not a placeholder: it is what the store listing publishes, and rewriting it to 8 GB because that looks more typical would be inventing a requirement. The second is that both rows name Windows 11, so no Windows 10 machine appears anywhere in the published requirements.

DirectX 11 on both rows also tells you something useful: this is not a title built around ray tracing or DirectX 12 feature sets, which fits a 2D action game with a hand-drawn look.

Xbox on PC agrees

The Xbox store listing, read on October 2, 2026, publishes the same hardware: x64 architecture, a GTX 1650 and i5-8400 minimum, an RTX 3060 and i5-10400 recommended, DirectX 11 and 16 GB of RAM on both rows. Two independent storefronts publishing identical figures is about as solid as pre-release PC requirements get.

The one place they differ is the operating system line: the Xbox listing names the x64 architecture but does not mention Windows 11, while Steam does. Where they disagree, this page follows Steam's wording, because that is where the PC version is sold in the widest number of markets.

What is not in the requirements

No Mac or Linux build. Steam reports both platform flags as false, and there is no workaround short of the compatibility layers you would use for any Windows-only title. No Steam Deck rating. Valve has not published a compatibility rating for the game, so the demo is the practical test. Community reports of Steam Deck performance in the demo are mixed, and they are collected on the troubleshooting page. * No resolution or frame rate target. The published specs do not promise 1080p60 or any other combination, and Konami has not published performance modes.

Input devices

Steam's feature list names full controller support, keyboard-only play, recommended gamepad and DualSense support, and the Xbox listing adds integrated keyboard and an Xbox controller or gamepad to the recommended configuration. Practically: a controller is the intended way to play, and a keyboard works.

That matters more than usual here, because the whip mechanic leans on fast aiming and swinging, and controller detection has been a repeated problem in the demo on PC. The troubleshooting page covers what players have tried.

Before you upgrade anything

If your machine is borderline, the free demo uses the same requirements and costs nothing to test. It is a better signal than any spec table, and your progress carries into the full game as long as you stay on the same platform and account.

If you are choosing where to buy for other reasons, the platforms page maps storefront against frame rate and physical availability, and the price page shows what each storefront charges.

FAQ

Does Belmont's Curse run on Windows 10?

Not according to the published requirements, which name Windows 11 on both the minimum and recommended rows. There is no Windows 10 row to point at.

How much RAM does it need?

16 GB, on both the minimum and the recommended tier. The figure is identical in both rows on Steam and in the Xbox listing.

Can I run it on a GTX 1650?

That is the minimum graphics card, so yes at the published floor. What frame rate and resolution that produces has not been published.

Is there a Mac or Linux version?

No. The PC release is Windows only, and Steam reports the macOS and Linux flags as false.

How much disk space do I need?

10 GB for the full game on PC. The demo is a separate download in the 3 to 6 GB range, and the Midnight Edition is 10 GB as well on PC.
